Job: The Book

As I have mentioned before, I like to read and there are some books that I think are relevant and helpful to people who are ill and suffering. I am reading A Man of Heroic Endurance Job by Charles R. Swindoll. It is about the Biblical character Job and his famous struggle with the loss of his family, wealth and health. It is amazing that Job maintained his faith through all his losses, pain and when he felt God was not listening or responding.

Through it all Job responds with these words: As for me, I know that my redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth. Even after my skin is destroyed, Yet from my flesh I shall see God; Whom I myself shall behold, and whom my eyes shall see and not another. My heart faints within me! Job 19:25-27

Peace to all who suffer. Keep your eyes on the healer of all: Jesus
